Hello, my name is Daniel Morales, I am a professional photographer specialized in architectural photography and food and beverage photography as well.
I was born in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, where I pursued a career in aviation and worked as a pilot for more than two decades. However, my passion for photography ignited at a young age. It all began in high school when I inherited a Zenit camera from my father, sparking my curiosity and introducing me to this incredible art form. Photography quickly evolved from a hobby to a profession.
It was when I acquired my first DSLR camera that I decided to take my photography skills to the next level. I embarked on a self-guided journey to learn basic concepts and techniques, which I diligently put into practice. As my fascination for photography grew, so did my desire to expand my knowledge. The more I learned and the better my results, the deeper my interest became. This led me to enroll in basic and advanced photography courses at the Center for Image Studies in Bogotá. After several years of dedicated learning and practice, I realized that I wanted to transform this captivating art into my way of life. That's when I made the decision to become a full-time photographer.
My decision to specialize in this type of photography is rooted in my profound love for architecture. I have always been in awe of the immense creative and technical expertise required to conceive an architectural structure from the ground up. This admiration led me to fall head over heels for architectural photography, which seamlessly merges two of my greatest passions. It was only a matter of time for me to realize that, given the nature of my clients, it was both feasible and beneficial to broaden my skills and specialties to provide them with comprehensive services. This is why I decided to specialize in product photography, with a particular focus on food and beverage.
For me, the art of photography is not just a profession; it's an exhilarating adventure, and that's precisely why I find so much joy in it. Consequently, I am constantly committed to honing my skills to produce results that resonate with people on an emotional level. To achieve this, I employ a range of techniques that enable me to capture the desired essence in each photograph. Among these techniques, I emphasize the artful use of both natural and artificial light, carefully combined to imbue each image with a distinctive nuance. Every image I work on is meticulously crafted, from the moment of capture to the final product, infused with all my knowledge, skill, and boundless passion.
